Overview
Our client, a growing engineering firm with a thriving portfolio of diverse projects, is seeking Fire Protection & Life Safety Engineers to lead impactful projects and shape the future of the business. This is a rare opportunity to join a company that values transparency, collaboration, and innovation — the opposite of a large, rigid corporate structure.
Whether you're a seasoned Project Manager, an experienced Fire Protection Engineer (FPE), or an engineer ready to step into a leadership role, this position offers career advancement and the chance to directly influence the direction of a high-growth firm. With ambitions to expand into new markets and potentially open branch offices, you'll have a seat at the table in helping guide the company's future.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead fire protection and life safety engineering projects from design through completion.
- Oversee project deliverables, including fire protection reports, code compliance, plan reviews, and egress / accessibility drawings.
- Prepare, design, and supervise technical reports and drawings.
- Manage client relationships and contribute to business development (approx. 30% of role).
- Participate in weekly PM coordination meetings to ensure project deadlines and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and collaborate with a skilled technical team to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Travel occasionally (1–2 months, mostly Western U.S.) for site visits, project kickoffs, or conferences, with minimal overnight stays.
