Job Title : Mechanical Assembler

Job Description

This position is responsible for the assembly of low and medium voltage electrical switchgear cabinets for the manufacture of products. Assemblers will be responsible for taking a blueprint or work order, gathering appropriate materials and hardware, using hand and power tools to follow the work instructions and perform a basic inspection to ensure the product is manufactured with quality.

Responsibilities

• Interpret assembly and elevation drawings.
• Construct modular steel cabinets and copper buss assemblies.
• Read and accurately measure using a tape measure.
• Utilize manual hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.
• Operate power tools, including drills, impact tools, and pneumatic torque wrenches.

Work Environment

The work environment is a medium-sized facility with approximately 60 employees. The manufacturing process includes fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly, all conducted in a clean, modern, and comfortably temperature-controlled facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of St. Charles, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
