About The Position

Locum Anesthesiologist – Coastal, NC

Start Date : August 15, 2025

Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking two board-certified Anesthesiologists for a long-term locum assignment in coastal NC. This opportunity offers a stable schedule, no call requirements, and a collaborative environment with CRNAs and other MDs. The site supports a wide range of cases including general, OB, and cardiac.

Responsibilities

Direct and coordinate activities within the Anesthesia Department

Provide medical management for patients undergoing surgical and other medical procedures

Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain patient consent

Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients

Administer anesthesia and monitor patient condition throughout procedures

Perform clinical interventions as needed

Requirements

M.D. / D.O. from an accredited College of Medicine

Completion of an approved Anesthesia Residency

ECFMG and FLEX certifications

Active NC medical license (or willingness to obtain)

Board Certification required

Additional Details

Charting System : Epic

CRNA to MD Ratio : 4 : 1

MDs supervise CRNAs and also perform their own cases

Shift Options : 8 or 10 hours
