ROLE : FOX 5 San Diego / KUSI News duopoly is seeking a dynamic Weather Anchor for KUSI’s 5-hour long legacy weekday morning news. Successful candidate is digitally savvy, excels in ad-libbing and storytelling to drive engagement with viewers across multiple platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Accurate and creative producing and reporting of daily weather and traffic forecast to support multiple live hits – using all resources available
• Anchors, produces and contributes content to digital platforms including station’s CTV streaming app, website and social media account
• Collaborates with producers, assignment desk, digital team to create timely and engaging reports across all platforms
• Must be able to ad-lib live breaking news with a strong ability to interact with anchors in studio
• Must be able to report live in the field and turn a pkg as needed
• Stays informed on current news and community events, digital and social trends to improve quality of content and promote station brand
• Develops community contacts and a network of news sources
• Maintain strong, professional social media presence to promote station brand
• Adhere to all company policies to uphold highest level of journalistic integrity
• Attend station partnerships in the community
• Additional duties as necessary
