The responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist include, but are not limited to :
Responsibilities :
- Under a physician's orders, screen and evaluate residents / patients, developing an appropriate care plan.
- Assist residents / patients with activities of daily living, including dressing, cooking, and eating.
- Instruct residents, families, and caregivers in the use of adaptive equipment, such as wheelchairs, splints, and aids for eating and dressing.
- Maintain patient records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement special tools and treatments tailored to the specific needs of patients.
- Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state and / or federal regulations.
Experience and Skills :
Certified or registered by the National Certification Board for Occupational Therapy (NCBOT).Licensed in Occupational Therapy, if required by state law.One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.Supervisory Responsibilities :
May supervise COTAs, Rehab Aides, or provisional licensed occupational therapists according to state practice guidelines.Physical Demands and Environment :
