Description :

Supervises Psychology Assistant positions.

Conducts performance evaluations, scheduling, timekeeping, training, and disciplinary actions.

Evaluates, authorizes, and ensures that plans, programs, treatments, therapies, and testing for residents comply with professional and regulatory standards.

Develops and implements treatment programs for residents based on diagnosis, interactions, data analysis, recommendations from interdisciplinary teams, and personal history.

Conducts individual and group counseling sessions.

Serves as chairperson of the Human Rights Committee, reviewing and authorizing requests for restrictive measure usage, ensuring appropriateness and humane implementation.

Conducts routine psychological evaluations and reports results to interdisciplinary teams, contributing to Individual Service Plans.

Assesses individuals for suicide precautions and determines the appropriate duration of such precautions.

Participates in psychiatric drug review, admission / discharge, and technical assistance meetings, providing insights to team members.

Evaluates individuals for competency, providing results to relevant parties and offering expert testimony.

Trains staff, including new hire orientation and ongoing education.

Attends conferences and training sessions to maintain professional licensure.

Oversees the work of psychology interns and provides feedback to academic institutions.

Offers input on facility and departmental policies concerning psychological and behavioral issues.

Performs other duties as assigned.
