ProHealth Physicians is looking for individuals who have a passion for patient care and are eager to learn the skills necessary to become a Medical Assistant. No prior healthcare experience is required.
Our Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program is a 1.5-year, full-time program designed to equip you with the skills and experience necessary to become a Certified Medical Assistant. This program includes two phases : 10 weeks of classroom instruction followed by up to 15 months of hands-on training. As an apprentice, you'll be a full-time employee with access to comprehensive benefits while you complete the program, and you will be eligible for continued employment post-program. Training is provided at no cost and prepares you for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam.
The Medical Assistant Apprentice (MA) will perform patient-oriented procedures under the guidance of a clinician, RN, or LVN, to ensure safe and effective patient care. The MA will assist in minor medical and surgical tasks and handle a range of clerical and administrative duties related to patient assistance, within the scope of practice defined by our state and organization.
