We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our dynamic team in Dallas, Texas, on a Contract to permanent basis. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in litigation and trial support, particularly within financial services, complex plaintiff litigation, and bankruptcy cases. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess advanced technical skills to support attorneys effectively.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and other legal professionals to manage case-related tasks and ensure project goals are met.
- Draft, revise, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and interrogatories, in compliance with court procedures.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of statutes, regulations, judicial decisions, and legal articles, providing detailed summaries and reports.
- Interview clients and witnesses, preparing comprehensive statements and summaries to assist in case development.
- Organize, maintain, and retrieve case files, including evidence, exhibits, depositions, and other trial-related materials.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including drafting trial documents, coordinating schedules, and attending hearings when required.
- Manage calendaring and deadlines to ensure timely filings and compliance with court requirements.
- Utilize software tools such as Office 365 Suite, Trial Director, and Adobe, as well as preferred systems like Clio, NetDocuments, and Slack, to streamline case management.
- Maintain accurate records of billable hours and case-related expenses.
- Support attorneys in e-filing processes at federal, state, and county levels.
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification as a Paralegal is mandatory.
- Proven experience in discovery, civil litigation, and trial preparation.
- Proficiency in using case management and litigation software such as Clio, NetDocuments, and Trial Director.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing case files and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, witnesses, and legal professionals.
- Advanced proficiency in Office 365 Suite, including Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
