• Duties : - See more complicated liver & GI cases in addition to new referrals. - All standard clinic responsibilities including pathology review, referrals & answering questions the PA might have.
• Required Procedures : - Pill Cam (required to interpret studies), peg tube exchange, Hemoccult test & Lidocaine injections. - Upper GI endoscopy : with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices - Sigmoidoscopy : Flexible & Rigid - Colonoscopy : w / biopsy & w / excision of polyp
• Trauma Level : III
• EMR : Epic
• Other Info : - If locum would prefer a hybrid schedule to include clinic shifts & procedure shifts (colonoscopy / endoscopy performed under conscious sedation at hospital), this is a possibility. - Not required to supervise APPs.
