The Price Center is a dynamic and supportive community that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through our community day programs, community living programs, employer services programs, and more. Our Residential Services program operates six homes in Newton and Brookline where our team provides the individuals in these homes with a safe and comfortable environment.
Responsibilities :
The CFO works closely with the CEO setting policies, providing strategic direction and oversight, and ensuring sound fiscal management and prudent stewardship of resources. Performs a wide range of difficult-to-complex activities relating to the responsibility for all accounting and financial management functions and reporting. Institutes and administers financial and administrative practices and procedures which produce timely and accurate financial reports for the organization. Sets goals and direction in budget control, forecasting and analysis. Oversees development and management of operational and individual program budgets. Directs and manages the agency's annual audit and prepares all required tax reports.
The CFO coordinates administrative, accounting and internal control functions and procedures, supervises finance / administration staff and provides financial assistance and support to the entire organization. Provides expertise and leadership in the development of plans, instructions and procedures for all accounting functions and the performance of proper follow-up to ensure compliance to these instructions. Serves as the risk manager and as the primary liaison with counsel on all legal matters. Oversees organizational assets including facilities and technology and those responsible for their day-to-day management. Supervises the network environment and provides technical assistance to the organization including oversight of the network administrator.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Supports program participants' right to express their religious affiliations and cultural traditions through preferred and relevant activities. Supports diversity of individuals served through respect of religious preferences and / or cultural backgrounds.
Technical Duties and Responsibilities :
Knowledge : Principles, practices, and methods of modern accounting, auditing and computer technology. Abilities to perform reconciliations and an understanding of financial reporting, data processing and strong analytical skills. Principles and practices or organization and administration. Current knowledge of Internet, Networking and various computer techniques to enhance existing operations.
Skills : Understanding and coordinating a complex financial operation; developing, revising and installing accounting systems; preparing varied financial reports, and analyses; supervising and training staff. Must have thorough current knowledge of computers and related technology.
