JOB SUMMARY

The Regional Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer for all elements of the operation and programs in the Region.

Performs all duties in accordance with the philosophy of the Agency and as expressed in policies, philosophies, and by laws.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directs the development of regional strategic and business plans consistent with the established mission, vision, core values and goals of the organization and ensures their proper execution.
  • Responsible for the safety, health and welfare of the clients served.
  • Accountable for the implementation of fiscal, environmental, and programmatic procedures to ensure compliance with applicable State regulations.
  • Participates in the development of the organization's strategic plan.
  • Assists in the development of annual budgets and provides firm budget management to maintain costs and reduce losses from services provided.
  • Evaluates need and recommends opportunities for business development and expansion in the region.
  • Provides leadership to ensure best utilization of resources in obtaining corporate and regional goals.
  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with local and state government officials and staff, community leaders, pastors, congregations, county social service personnel, professional associations and other service providers as necessary in the overall management of the region.
  • Engages in community activities consistent with the organization's responsibilities in the community and the industry.
  • Reviews and evaluates the total regional performance on a continuing basis and provides direction for modification of systems and / or implementation of new systems.
  • Anticipates and effectively deals with issues that could enhance the region's opportunities or adversely impact business results.
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends the mission, vision, values, philosophy and culture of the organization.
  • Mentors, guides and coaches direct reports in order to expand their capabilities and build management depth in the organization.
  • Must be available to assist, or designate, in any crisis or emerging crisis, at any time, in order to maintain health and safety of staff and clients.
  • Ensure direct report staff follow the agency's timecard, PTO (Paid Time Off), and California's rest and meal period policies.

Will monitor staff timesheets to ensure they are completed accurately.

  • Physical presence in the office is required.
  • Will drive on Agency business.
  • Think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  • Employees are expected to manage their cell phone use so that the Agency cell phone stipend covers all business usage. Any calls not covered by the stipend are to be made on a company landline phone.
  • Comply with all Turning Point Safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to : workplace safety, reporting work related injuries, Infection Control and preventing potential safety risks for staff, clients and others.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at Turning Point. Employees are expected to report to work as scheduled, on time and prepared to start working.

Employees also are expected to remain at work for their entire work schedule. Late arrival, early departure or other absences from scheduled hours are disruptive and must be avoided.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field of study.
  • Minimum of two (2) years program experience, at least one of which is at the management level.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate other staff.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability to work with the programs and support systems in the specified region.
  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication / meeting platforms.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws.

Agency insurer authorization is required.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
  • Must maintain good relationships with current, future and past employees, co-workers, vendors, third party administrators, and others with whom the Agency is transacting business, and relate to them in a professional manner.

  • Pay Range : Class 210 ($ 95,524.00 - $125,703.06 / annually)
