Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (Patchogue, Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson) Suffolk County, NY New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology / Hematology group, is seeking an LPN to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation.

Clinics from Southampton to NYC. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will : Give medication as prescribed by a Physician. Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature and weight.

Administer injections of medication. Administer immunizations. Obtain patients medical histories. Enter information into EMR computer systems.

Start IV’s after certification as well as phlebotomy. We require : Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York. At least 1 year of working in a medical facility.

Good computer knowledge. Ability to start IV’s helpful. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Bilingual, English / Spanish a plus.
