Description : Responsible for managing all affairs relative to the position of a General Procurement Buyer

Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role :
Solicitation / Preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP's) and Request for Quotes (RFQ's)Cost analysis of proposals / quotesFormal purchase order completionProvide customer service to internal and external customers, such as payment discrepanciesProposal negotiations (including cost, terms and conditions, payment terms, and scope of work)Purchase Order preparation, placement, and continued administration / monitoring to assure compliance to requirements / scope of workImplement long term agreements / contract purchase agreementPlanningExpediting partsOnboarding of new suppliers and NDA'sTechnical ability to interpret drawingsWork closely with requestors on supplier developmentEnsure GDLS compliance with applicable procurement laws and regulationsComfortable in working with and presenting to senior leadership, both internal and externalWork as a team member and assist / mentor colleagues as neededTravel estimated 20%Other duties as assignedQualifications Sought :
Bachelor's Degree in a business area of studyIdeal candidate will have 5-7 years of experienceAbility to use Oracle system & associated computer systemsAbility to negotiateStrong communication (oral & written) and problem-solving skillsStrong understand of procurement processes and multi-tasking abilitiesWork in a team environment to meet team objectives and performance metricsAbility to multi-task and proper management of workday and buying deckHigh standard of business ethics and practicesHigh capability to operate autonomously and problem solve complex matters
