We're partnering with a school district in Middlesex County, CT to hire a compassionate and committed Special Education Teacher for the 2025 / 2026 school year. This is a 3-month contract opportunity at the middle school level.

This opportunity is ideal for a Special Education Teacher who thrives in a collaborative, student-centered environment. You’ll be responsible for supporting a small caseload of 8–10 students, implementing IEPs, and working closely with school teams to drive meaningful progress for every learner.

Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of CT—either Initial, Provisional, or Professional—is required.

Position Details :

Location : Middlesex County, CT.

Specialty : Special Education Teacher

Length of Role : Approximately 3 months

Grade Level : Middle School

Caseload Size : 8–10 students

Responsibilities :

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), modify curriculum, and track student progress.

Provide individualized instruction to cultivate academic, social, and emotional growth while managing student behavior and fostering inclusion.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.

Special Education Teaching Certification in the state of CT—either Initial, Provisional, or Professional teaching certification.
