We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to support our team at our location in Houston, Texas.

Summary :

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Regional Sales Representative to focus on expanding our lighting business within the retail fuel and convenience store market (gas stations, travel plazas, and related retail environments) . This individual will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing relationships with key accounts, and driving revenue growth through consultative sales of our lighting products and solutions.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated, knowledgeable in B2B sales, and experienced in working with end-users, distributors, contractors, and corporate accounts within the retail fuel or retail construction sector.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

  • Responsible for the sales target for the region.
  • Develop and execute a regional sales plan to grow market share for lighting solutions in the retail fuel / convenience store channel .
  • Provide leadership, support, and accountability for sales agents to maximize performance and market penetration
  • Knows our products and technologies. Gives us steady and reliable voice of the customer information about products, and trends.
  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new customers. Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads.
  • Responsible for forecasting new orders by maintaining a 30-60-90-day outlook.
  • Identifies important customers in the region who can influence purchasing decisions. Maintains effective relationships with them and publicizes key information to LSI leaders.
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers (min 50%).
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples, catalogs, or electronic presentations, and emphasizes salable features.
  • Helps LSI leaders understand new product market and gathers market intelligence.
  • Coordinates customer training.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product management, customer service, and operations) to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Support trade shows and other marketing activities as needed.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to position our products effectively
  • Summarizes weekly activities. Writes monthly reports to LSI management about significant orders and important prospecting during the month. Also reports important customer feedback, competitor actions and notable agency accomplishments or concerns. (Do not make your monthly report a trip report)
  • Supports corporate initiatives as directed.

  • Know LSI lighting products as an expert.

  • Know whom to call at LSI for most field needs; maintain working relationships with them.
  • Know and adhere to rules that your agencies and customers require of their visitors.
  • Education and / or Experience :

  • College degree and 3–5 years of related industry experience and / or training.
  • Experience selling into retail fuel, C-store, or petroleum markets strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of channel sales through distributors, contractors, and direct-to-owner sales preferred.
  • Other Skills and Abilities :

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to prioritize while ensuring all responsibilities are met.

  • Other Qualifications :

  • Comfortable making presentations to any audience.
  • Possess general knowledge about lighting products ours and competition
  • Comfortable making decisions while in the field.
