Responsibilities Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Care for a culturally diverse, high-risk OB patient population RNs circulate for cesarean sections Night shift schedule : three 12-hour shifts (18 : 00–06 : 30) Weekend shifts required every other weekend Use of Epic EMR is required Scrub attire is any solid color, typically Royal Blue or Navy Floating may be required between like units and to nearby affiliate hospitals No on-call requirement Responsibilities include caring for high-risk OB patients and circulating for cesarean sections Travelers are expected to float within the hospital and to sister facilities as needed Willingness to work two out of three major holidays is required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) Pre-assignment modules must be completed prior to start RTO must be requested at the time of consideration; extensive RTO may hinder selection Parking is assigned during orientation Local candidates are accepted at a differential pay rate Requirements Active CA RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum of 1 year recent Labor & Delivery RN experience Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required Experience charting in Epic required At least 2 supervisory references from within the past three years in a comparable setting First-time travelers accepted Pending CA license not accepted Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate Former perm staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-615378.
