WHAT YOU’LL DO
As a Systems Engineer at ProService Hawaii, you’ll design, secure, and manage the technical infrastructure that powers our operations and services. From cloud platforms and virtual environments to networks and voice systems, you’ll ensure availability, performance, and security across the board. You’ll work cross-functionally to drive automation, manage incidents, and implement scalable solutions that directly impact our business continuity and client satisfaction.
Implement and maintain secure infrastructure across cloud, on-prem, and network environments; apply configurations and controls that meet or exceed company security standards
Own incident response end-to-end, including detection, triage, communication, root cause analysis, and permanent resolution; document learnings to improve system resilience
Proactively monitor and maintain system health, ensuring uptime, performance, and scalability through patching, capacity planning, and lifecycle management
Design, implement, and optimize automation to reduce manual work, improve consistency, and increase operational efficiency across environments
Administer cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and virtualized infrastructure, managing compute, storage, and networking components
Manage and access controls, ensuring proper provisioning, least-privilege access, and compliance with security and audit requirements
Support and improve voice and telephony systems, maintaining high availability, call quality, and integration with collaboration tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT Support, Security, Operations, and Application teams) to deliver infrastructure improvements and ensure alignment with business objectives
Evaluate and recommend new technologies that enhance security, performance, or efficiency; contribute to infrastructure roadmap and standards
Maintain documentation and runbooks for systems, incidents, and operational procedures to ensure knowledge continuity and support efficiency
Mentor and provide escalation support to IT Specialists, fostering knowledge sharing and building team capability
WHAT YOU BRING
You bring deep technical expertise in cloud infrastructure and system administration, with a proven track record in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient environments. You thrive in high-stakes scenarios, confidently balancing performance and security while collaborating across teams to solve complex technical challenges. You lead with action, precision, and a mindset for continuous improvement.
Proven track record securing enterprise systems, including vulnerability remediation, policy enforcement, and alignment with security frameworks
Hands-on expertise managing cloud and on-prem infrastructure, including servers, networking, storage, and virtualization platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Windows Server)
Demonstrated success in resolving infrastructure incidents, minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Practical experience supporting voice and communication systems, such as VoIP or cloud-based telephony, with a focus on reliability and user satisfaction
Skilled in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
