Position Summary
LifeStraw is seeking a strategic, finance-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who will partner closely with the CEO to lead the company’s financial evolution through its next phase of growth. This is a dual role : equal parts financial strategist and hands-on operator. The CFO will drive long-term value creation, lead capital strategy and investor relations while ensuring financial health, operational discipline, and scalable systems across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead the development of financial strategy, forecasting, and modeling to support company growth and evolving capital needs
- Build long-range financial models and scenario planning frameworks to guide executive decision-making
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to align resources with company priorities and long-term value creation
Cash Management & Business Health
Drive strategic cash management and working capital optimization to strengthen operational resilienceIdentify opportunities to unlock cash and increase efficiency through improved planning, vendor terms, inventory strategies, and cost controlsEnsure smart, disciplined capital allocation in a resource-constrained, growth-focused environmentDashboards, Reporting & Insights
Overhaul and expand dashboards, KPIs, and reporting systems to provide real-time financial and operational insightsPartner across departments to create visibility into performance, risks, and ROI across the businessEstablish a data-driven culture that supports accountability, speed, and decision-making at all levelsOperational Finance & Controls
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking across teams and business unitsCollaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Impact teams to align financial plans with executionWork alongside the Controller to strengthen accounting systems, internal controls, and audit readinessTeam Leadership
Manage and grow a high-performing, lean Finance & Accounting teamDevelop scalable systems, processes, and tools that enable growth and reduce frictionFoster strong cross-functional partnerships and a proactive, solutions-oriented finance cultureExperience & Qualifications
12+ years of progressive finance experience with a blend of :Investment banking or private equity FP&A background (highly analytical and investor-oriented mindset).Big 4 accounting firm experience.Minimum 3-5 years in hands-on financial leadership outside of Big 4, including oversight of stock options, 401(k), and accounting operations.Prior CFO, VP of Finance, or senior finance leadership role in a high-growth, product-based or CPG company.Proven experience managing financials for institutional fundraising, investor engagement, and M&A activity.Strong knowledge of US GAAP, international financial structures, and global compliance.Leadership & Cultural Fit
