Job Title : Finishing Set Up Technician

Report To : Technical Supervisor

Location : East Plant

JOB DESCRIPTION : Responsible for the set-up and start-up of production jobs as required to meet schedules and customer commitments. The set-up tech will have the ability and knowledge to change over Finishing, CNC turning and induction heat-treat equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Maintains cycle process integrity with the direction of the production supervisor
• Works with support department to ensure tools, machines and processes are optimized
• Recommends and implements changes and improvements to cycles, processes and procedures to maintain schedules and quality parts
• Maintain documentation and paperwork to support production cycles and procedures
• Works directly with process technicians to suggest improvements in processes and procedures
• Works with machine operators to improve current processes and procedures
• Performs set-ups, samples and other production related duties to maintain production schedules
• Assists with training as necessary
• Ability to read machine dial gauges, blueprints and precision measuring instruments used in the inspection of parts
• Follow safety policies and report unsafe working conditions
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor, such as operating production line
