Floor Manager
Quatorze is the quintessential Parisian Bistro, located in the heart of the Upper East Side. Serving our community since 1984! We are celebrating our 41st year of business and are looking for qualified candidates to join our team. Ideal candidates would have an enthusiasm for food and beverage, strong work ethic, and a fun-loving attitude in team environments.
Currently Quatorze is looking for a Floor Manager for brunch and dinner services. The ideal canidate will have a passion for food and beverage, spirited hospitality, and ready to uphold the culture and tradition of a classic New York restaurant.
Duties include, but not limited too
- Managing the reservation book. Answering the phones, taking reservations, organzing seating chart to maximize covers.
- Leading guest communications. Greeting guests upon arrival. Bid guests farewell. Welcoming feedback, both positive and constructive. Fostering long standing relationships and creating new regulars. Learn guest habbits, favorite tables.
- Lead and manage Front of House staff to uphold service standards. Includes hosting pre shift, discussing specials, floor plan, and pacing to ensure a seamless service.
- Serves as a role model and sets a positive example in all aspects of the business .
- Remain current and compliant with the correct HR practices and policies, holding employees accountable to all standards and practices, evaluating and / or following disciplinary procedure when necessary
Requirements
5+ years of experience in NYC upscale, high-volume dining.2+ years in a leadership or management position.Experience with Toast POS, and RESY systemsMust have a valid food handlers permitBasic knowledge of bar management, cocktail preparation, and inventory practicesStrong communication skills, Ability, and willingness to engage with guests, and team members in a professional and respectful manner.Benefits
