OVERVIEW : Seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Investment Partnerships Accountant to collaborate closely with the Firm’s Financial Accounting, Budget, & Controls and Investment Partnerships groups. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of partnership accounting tasks such as, review of transactions, financial reporting and preparing of reconciliations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Identify areas of improvement to enhance the process and assist with cash planning
• Prepare adjusting manual journal entries and post approved entries
• Review transactions related to capital calls, distributions and other fund transactions
• Prepare data for monthly and quarterly investor statements
• Review and reconcile general ledger activity to investor statements
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis
• Assist with the Firm and Investment Partnerships’ annual external audit engagements
• Contribute to system and process re-engineering efforts
• Manage balance sheet accounts ensuring integrity by thoroughly reviewing account activity and balances for validity and prepare supporting audit schedules

REQUIREMENTS :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 2+ years of professional accounting or audit experience required
• Familiarity with partnership accounting preferred; CPA or CPA track a plus
• General understanding of the private equity industry; experience with funds
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communications skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to prioritize competing demands under tight deadlines
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word
• Familiarity with Elite 3E and Dynamo is a plus!
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
