About the position :
As Director of Brand , you will shape Cuisinart’s brand strategy, drive growth, and ensure consistent brand experience across all touchpoints. Reporting to the Marketing & Trade VP, you will impact how the brand is perceived across all touchpoints, driving brand equity through consistency in messaging and visual identity. Your leadership and expertise will be pivotal to bringing to life our innovation pipeline, developing compelling brand content and communication, and ensuring go‑to‑market success. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with strong business acumen and brand building experience, skilled in working collaboratively across functions and capable of translating brand strategy into impactful marketing initiatives that resonate with consumers and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities :
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Develop and implement annual brand strategy and plans to enhance Cuisinart’s brand equity and achieve business goals
- Oversee all brand management activities, including brand architecture, positioning and brand health tracking
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to inform brand strategy, in collaboration with Consumer & Shopper Insights and Category Management
New Products Messaging & Commercialization
Develop compelling positioning and stories (concepts, naming, claims and messaging) that strongly resonate with consumers and drive demand of new products across retail channelsLead the development and delivery of compelling, qualified content toolkit to launch new products across media channels (packaging, video and static assets for e-commerce / digital, etc.)Own brand inputs for new product development and commercialization, with deliverables across the Innovation Stage Gate ProcessCollaborate with Product teams to ensure brand alignment in new product developmentCampaign Development & Content Creation
Oversee the creation and execution of integrated campaigns that drive brand awareness, consideration and conversion (measured by sales lift, share increase, brand equity metrics improvement)Lead internal creative and external agencies to develop and create compelling content for brand and new product launches – from briefing to final approvalCollaborate with creative, media, and digital teams to ensure campaigns are aligned with brand and business goalsBrand Governance & Stewardship
Be the brand champion across sales, product, e-commerce and marketing / media teams, ensuring brand consistency across all channels and customer experiencesServe as the brand steward, educating internal teams and partners on brand standards and industry best practicesLead US and Global Brand Steering Teams to ensure consistency of brand assets and communication across channels and countriesLeadership & Talent Development
Lead and mentor the brand management team, fostering a culture of high performance and creativityLead and develop a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, growth and executional excellenceExperience & Skills :
10+ years of experience in marketing and brand management, preferably in consumer goods industry or household appliancesStrong understanding of brand fundamentals; strong expertise in managing, building and growing brands across categories and channelsBroad spectrum of marketing skills, defining strategies, building plans, and driving new product launchesStrong experience with digital marketing and omnichannel brand experienceStrong expertise in developing holistic, integrated brand communication that engages consumers across channels. Experience in developing creative assets, working with creative teams and multiple agencies (Creative, PR, Digital, Influencer etc.)Experience in developing compelling stories for pipelines of new products. Ability to synthesize complex product features into compelling and desirable consumer benefitsDemonstrated leadership and Strategic Thinking, ability to develop and implement strategic brand plans aligned with business objectivesDemonstrates agile ways of working—rapid iteration, test‑and‑learn cycles, and data‑driven decision‑makingExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships across functionsA ‘player‑coach’ with bias towards action; experience in team building and managing people, delegating and setting priorities while also rolling up the sleeves to get things doneGlobal Experience is a plusAs Director of Brand, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Cuisinart.
