Position Overview
As a Patient Access Specialist, you will serve as an advocate for patients, guiding them through the complexities of obtaining medications efficiently and cost-effectively. This role focuses on delivering world-class customer service through inbound communication channels, ensuring one-call resolution and a seamless experience for members, providers, and pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage inbound calls and emails to assist patients with enrollment in drug savings programs.
Educate members on pharmacy benefits and medication sourcing options.
Coordinate with members, providers, drug manufacturers, and pharmacies to facilitate program enrollment.
Ensure compliance with PHI and HIPAA standards while handling sensitive information.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow-up on all cases with urgency and empathy.
Meet performance metrics, including quality assurance and service level expectations.
Stay current on organizational processes and policies to ensure compliance and service excellence.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience in a healthcare call center environment handling inbound calls.
Strong skills in case coordination, patient service, and insurance verification.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a patient-centric mindset.
Preferred Skills
Experience with prior authorization, pharmacy coordination, and patient scheduling.
Familiarity with medical reception and patient registration processes.
Workplace Details
Training : 100% onsite for the first 60 days (full attendance required).
Hybrid Option : After onboarding, potential to work remotely up to 4 days per week based on performance.

This is a Contract position based out of Lehi, UT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr.
