Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Security Project Manager who is passionate about project management to lead the delivery of physical security systems for new office builds. This contractor will serve as the primary point of coordination between internal teams, manage the complete project lifecycle from design through commissioning, and ensure all security installations are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate lives and breathes project management and thrives in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Design :
- Review architectural floor plans and overlay company security standards and requirements
- Collaborate with Regional Security Manager to assess site‑specific security risks and mitigation strategies
- Present security designs and recommendations to stakeholders
- Coordinate with internal teams including Workplace, Network, and AV / VC teams to ensure integrated solutions
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets
Vendor & Financial Management :
Work with approved integrators to obtain detailed quotes for installations associated with security systems, hardware, furniture and infrastructureTrack project costs and manage budget adherenceProcess and manage Purchase Orders for office build projectsNegotiate scope changes and manage change orders as neededProject Execution & Coordination
Manage project schedules and ensure integrator adherence to timelinesAttend weekly project meetings and provide status updates on security deliverablesPresent project risks, issues, and mitigation strategies to stakeholder groupsCoordinate with multiple internal teams to ensure seamless project deliveryMonitor project milestones and proactively address potential delaysSite Programming & Commissioning :
Program security systems prior to on‑site testing and commissioningTravel to project sites for testing and commissioning of all security hardwareConduct thorough system testing and validationManage punch list items and ensure complete system functionalityDocument system configurations and provide training to local teams as neededRequired Qualifications
Minimum 7+ years of project management experience, preferably in physical security or constructionPMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification strongly preferredExtensive experience with enterprise physical security systems including : Access Control Systems, Video Management Systems, Visitor Management Systems, Integrated security platformsProven track record managing multiple concurrent projectsStrong experience with budget management and financial trackingExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsExperience working with integrators and technical vendorsProficiency with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and floor plansWillingness to travel up to 30% for site visits and commissioningStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsRequired Technology Experience
