Job descriptionProvide real-time Gujarati English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders. Interpret accurately, neutrally, and confidentially in immigration, legal, and administrative settings. Adhere to USCIS / DHS compliance and interpreter ethics standards. Handle scheduled assignments as well as urgent / surge requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits. Native or near-native fluency in Gujarati and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, or government preferred). Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity. Strong telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3 / Tier 5 clearance. Competitive pay : $2530 / hour (rare-language premium available for urgent cases). Remote work with secure USCIS-approved platforms. Paid training and professional development. Steady assignments under a federal contract. Career advancement opportunities in linguist leadership or quality assurance. Resume / CV highlighting Gujarati interpreting experience. Any certifications (court, medical, ATA, or community interpreting credentials preferred). Availability for full-time or contractor assignments.
