Freelance ASL Interpreter

Language :

• American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter We are currently looking for an ASL interpreter.
• An ASL interpreter will provide sign language interpretation services in a variety of settings, including working with a variety of individuals who are deaf, deafened, hard of hearing and / or oral, empowering individuals to advocate for themselves and their needs.

Candidate Qualifications :

Accurately complete assigned tasks / duties, projects and paperwork promptly and within approved guidelines Possess the ability to quickly learn and implement new and changing technologies Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic, highly regulated environment Demonstrate willingness and ability to complete additional duties and assignments on an on-going basis Understanding of deaf culture, social experiences of deaf and hard of hearing persons, history of education for students who have various levels of hearing loss, and current pedagogical trends for Proven interpersonal skills when working with deaf and hearing impaired persons, communication service providers, instructors and administrators Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, electronic scheduling and internet Ability to work independently and within a team VRI Requirements :
