Position Purpose
The General Manager is responsible for providing leadership and overseeing the region operations to achieve operational and strategic objectives while ensuring efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources. Ensures all Briggs Equipment standards comply with and are executed consistently with company direction.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties

- Drive operational excellence by efficiency in region through all revenue streams while creating a high level of accountability
- Lead strategic planning and partner with various teams in the field, corporate office and vendors to develop and deploy revenue generating solutions, to reduce costs and ensure continuing operations
- Ensure the continued financial viability of operational verticals within region through sound fiscal management
- Achieve financial objectives by driving the performance of financial operational plans and budgets.
- Lead, coach, develop and retain high-performing leaders with an emphasis on developing capacity in strategic analysis and planning
- Responsible for leader hiring decisions within region to ensure only top diversified talent is on-boarded into Briggs Equipment
- Lead and facilitate regular team meetings to ensure effective communication and motivation at all levels of the region
- Build and strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure Briggs Equipment is promoting the best value and quality from that relationship
- Manage payroll, productivity and staffing in region against established performance standards and objectives to ensure location is on target with business plan
- Partner with Operations Service Group (OSG) and Shared Services Group (SSG) (i.e. Operations, Human Resources, Finance) to develop and execute a sound and obtainable business plan
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Basic Knowledge & Competencies :

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required15+ years' experience in roles with increasing responsibility10+ years' experience in leading othersExperience in revenue generation to include the ability to analyze income statements and take appropriate actionPhysical Requirements
Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending on a frequent basisAbility to lift up to 40 pounds
