Description :

The position is for a CT Technologist.

This role requires covering vacations and other staffing needs on various days and evening shifts.

It is essential to follow hospital protocol for exam routines and produce quality studies in an efficient and timely manner.

The technologist must be competent to operate all equipment in the department or request training in specific areas.

Proper warming up of the CT scanner and running QA procedures is required.

The technologist should be able to bring up pressure injectors, PACs units, and maintain systems as needed.

Completing CT procedures and tasks in an effective and efficient manner is crucial.

This includes providing appropriate feedback to patients and maintaining a clean room.

Technologists should be able to adjust and manipulate images to required specifications, such as windowing and contrast.

Knowledge of scanners, medical radiation injecting, PACs, and reporting systems is necessary.

Selecting proper scanning levels depending on the field of scan and organ selected is a key responsibility.

Ensuring all scans are properly identified anatomically and that all appropriate information is recorded is essential.

The administrative part of each procedure must be completed, which includes editing reports and preparing the room.

Reporting any equipment malfunctions to a coordinator or delegate is required.

The technologist should communicate wet reading findings to physicians as necessary.

Restoring prior exams for radiologists and preparing patient CDs may be required.

Maintaining stocked rooms and requesting supplies when necessary is part of the role.

The work area must be kept clean and functional at all times.

Performing clerical and other duties as necessary to maintain workflow and quality expectations is expected.
