Job Title: Finishing Operator
Location: Worcester MA 01606
Work Schedule: Mon - Fri, from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM (3rd Shift)
Pay Rate: USD 20.00 - USD 22.00 /hour
Contract: Temp-to-hire
Qualifications (Knowledge & Skill Requirements):
- Experience working with manufactured products such as abrasive wheels, abrasive segments, ceramic finish, and kiln furniture
- Ability to select machine tooling using well-defined work orders
- Skill in setting up and controlling a limited variety of production equipment/machinery using hand or power tools
- Ability to move machine controls for setup and adjust for specified operational settings
- Operate finishing equipment (e.g., sandblaster, speed tester, balancer) by pushing start and stop buttons
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to correct issues
- Move equipment, objects, or parts to specified areas using moving devices as needed
- Ability to trim, scrape, shape, or deburr objects or parts using hand tools such as chisels and scrapers
- Follow work orders, machine instructions, supervisor, or Finishing Operator II direction for job specifics
- Manual or hoist loading/unloading of material or work pieces into machinery
- Record product and process data on forms or computers
- Quality of finished work pieces is verified by supervisor or Finishing Operator II
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate multiple machines or use hand tools for repetitive, high-production finishing operations
- Perform grinding, cutting to dimensions, dressing, speed testing, and small sandblasting
- Handle products from initial shaping through final finishing as required
