We are seeking a Distribution Center Site Leader / GM to join our team.
The Distribution Center Site Leader will be accountable for all aspects of leading their assigned distribution center and will serve on the leadership team of the US DC and LSP Network. The incumbent will ensure their operation is focused on Safety, Quality, and Compliance while also consistently delighting Zoetis's customers.
This role is responsible for creating an appropriately flexible and positive workplace where both tenured and junior colleagues flourish and where Zoetis's Core Beliefs are on display regardless of the activity or the audience.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all colleagues understand their roles, expectations, and success metrics.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and compliant work environment where concerns are promptly addressed.
- Support colleague development through effective performance management and Individual Development Plans (IDPs).
- Drive retention and succession planning to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Lead all aspects of distribution center operations with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the Logistics Quality team to ensure compliance with Zoetis SOPs and quality standards.
- Monitor and manage site performance to meet or exceed operational targets.
- Develop and manage the site's operating budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee resource planning to maintain optimal staffing levels based on data-driven forecasts.
- Partner with Maintenance and Engineering to manage site maintenance and capital projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with local vendors to ensure high-quality facility services.
- Serve as a functional lead across the Zoetis US DC and LSP Network (e.g., Quality, Safety, Procurement).
- Share best practices and provide guidance to other sites within the network.
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience in Operations / Supply Chain Leadership, or 10+ years of experience in Operations / Supply Chain leadership in lieu of a degree.Technical Skills & Competencies :
Must be able to serve as Designated Representative for distributing pharma products.Experience in an FDA / USDA regulated environment strongly preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills (fluent in English).Works effectively in a team-based environment.Ability to communicate effectively with Team Members to facilitate completion requests and review from all levels to meet all deadlines.Demonstrated use of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, WM, and TMS systems preferred.Physical Position Requirements :
This is a full-time, on-site role requiring occasional travel and availability for off-hours and on-call responsibilities.
