We would love to discuss it with you in more detail!Director of Collision Responsibilities: Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet themHires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of the collision departmentPrepares and administers with GM’s an annual operating budget for the collision departmentMaintains reporting systems required by management and the factoryMonitors the performance of the department using appropriate reports, tracking systems, and surveysAbility to analyze trends in data and create a course of action for a desired outcomeUnderstands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-KnowEnsures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures Accounts for documents; ensures none are missing and are processed correctlyFosters professional employee development and coordinates with department managers to determine training needsEstablish and maintain good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral businessKeeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchasesEstablishes and maintains good working relationships with vocational and technical schools to enhance personnel recruitment activitiesServes as liaison with factory representatives and vendor contactsDevelop and maintain pricing guides and maintenance menus for frequent labor operations, and coordinate the usage throughout the service organizationHandles customer complaints immediately and per company’s guidelinesEstablishes and maintains 24-hour follow-up with all customers to confirm satisfaction with the collision experienceEstablishes and maintains good working relationships with other departmentsFacilitates and/or conducts training on proper techniques, policies, regulations, and best practices and recommends employees to appropriate training as neededUnderstands and follows work rules and proceduresOther duties as assignedDirector of Collision Requirements:Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. 3 - 5 years of service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Education and ExperiencePrevious Technician experience Bachelor's degree ( from four-year college or universityThree to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceIND-BS
