Accounting Manager

Position Overview :

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in overseeing financial operations across construction projects and related business activities. This individual will help establish strong accounting processes, ensure compliance, and provide meaningful financial insights to leadership. The right candidate will have prior experience in construction accounting, strong technical skills, and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.

Responsibilities :

Manage project accounting, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.

Oversee accounts payable to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficient approval workflows.

Lead payroll processing and related tax filings.

Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and client follow-up.

Drive month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax obligations; coordinate with external tax partners.

Prepare and present financial statements and reporting for leadership.

Establish internal controls and implement process improvements to support growth.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Strong background in construction accounting required.

Experience with Viewpoint Vista or similar ERP / accounting system preferred.

CPA designation is a plus.

Advanced Excel skills and strong technical competence.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner across teams.

Comfort working in a fast-paced, growing, and evolving environment.
