Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer - ASRS

GE Appliances is seeking a Principal Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) to join our Horizontal Axis (HA) Washer Team within the Clothes Care business. In this critical role, you will lead the integration of cutting-edge Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)—both hardware and software—ensuring flawless execution of a high-impact program.

This is your opportunity to be the key link between New Product Introduction (NPI), operations, and cross-functional teams, driving automation solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and throughput in our world-class manufacturing environment.

In this role you will :

• Lead cross-functional coordination to ensure on-time delivery, qualification, and installation of multiple ASRS systems.
• Partner with the Central Materials Operations , and Digital Technology teams to integrate ASRS solutions with WMS MES , and ERP platforms.
• Collaborate with software vendors and IT to tailor ASRS functionality for operational excellence.
• Develop and execute robust test plans to ensure system accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
• Monitor ASRS performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement enhancements.
• Provide hands-on training and support to operations and IT staff on ASRS operation and maintenance.
• Safeguard data integrity and security in collaboration with IT security teams.
• Troubleshoot system issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to budget planning and management for program investments and expenses.
• Mentor junior team members to ensure project success.
• Develop manufacturing processes that align with the entire value stream, incorporating Lean principles , ergonomic workstation design, and single-piece flow.
• Work with EHS and engineering teams to ensure safety is at the forefront of all processes.
