Overview
Davis County Commission Office is looking to hire a full-time Office Manager . This position performs routine and complex administrative and secretarial duties relating to the Commission Office; supervises staff. This is a merit-exempt (at-will) position. Incumbent serving in this classification is appointed by and supports the elected County Commissioners.

Qualifications
High school graduation or equivalent.Five years of full-time senior level administrative support experience, including two years directly related to duties described below.Preference for a related Bachelor's or Master's degree, related experience in a similar local government environment or at least one year of related supervisory experience.May be subject to a criminal history background investigation.May be required to obtain and maintain a State of Utah Certificate of Authority of Notary Public.Must furnish personal transportation for on-the-job travel. Mileage reimbursement will be given.Day-to-Day Duties
Assists Commissioners with administrative and analytical details; drafts proposals, executive summaries and other documents as assigned.Schedules and prepares for meetings held by the Commissioners and / or hearings in their role as Board of Equalization.Provides information and assistance to department heads, elected officials, County employees, and the public; handles complaints and refers concerns to appropriate personnel.Reviews grant and funding requests and various intergovernmental service agreements for completeness and adherence to policy as requested.Manages social media accounts on behalf of the Commission Office; utilizes and updates Commission Office website. Coordinates interaction between the County and various media contacts.Prepares and reviews Board agenda items and reports related to payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, petty cash, and reimbursements; prepares and manages the budget for the Commission Office and provides budgetary reporting.Prepares and distributes agenda items for Commission and other meetings.Provides support to the CJCC. Schedules and attends relevant meetings, prepares agendas and keeps minutes.Manages calendars, schedules meetings, and organizes workload for Commissioners. Interacts and coordinates with representatives from various federal, state, county, and local entities.Supervises Commission Office staff including training, delegating assignments, monitoring work, and evaluating employee performance. Assists Commissions with finalizing department head performance evaluations.Establishes and maintains permanent records for archiving and public review.Makes travel and other arrangements for meetings and conferences.Tracks department expenditures. Maintains inventories and orders supplies.Performs administrative duties including, but not limited to, typing and editing documents, filing, taking minutes, greeting visitors, answering the telephone; and receiving, distributing, and prioritizing incoming mail.Assists others in regular duties and special projects as assigned.Fill out our mobile-friendly online application .
