Responsibilities
- Lead the aerodynamics design for a best-in-class interceptor around a patented interferometric RF seeker.
- Architect, rapidly prototype, and implement aerodynamic designs for highly maneuverable, small-diameter (120 mm and smaller) surface-to-air interceptor configurations.
- Shape optimal airframe geometries, inform control surface and propulsion integration, define the flight envelope from launch to endgame, and develop integrated aerodynamic solutions for low-cost operation in contested environments.
- Cover the full aerodynamic design space from concept through CFD analysis to flight validation. Address shocks, stability, moments, meshing, and boundary layers.
- Interface with guidance, manufacturing, and structures teams to ensure aerodynamics concepts maximize seeker performance, including adaptive configurations for stability and control across varied environments and threat sets.
- Take aerodynamics concepts from whiteboard sketches to CFD to flight tests within months.
