Job descriptionPerforming individual lifestyle medicine and health optimization evaluations Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, and musculoskeletal injuries Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic test results such as lab work and imaging Prescribing and managing medications and other treatments Managing patients' overall care Leading group medical visits regarding lifestyle medicine for cohorts of 10-12 patients Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices Contribute to lifestyle medicine curriculum development EDUCATION - Required PA Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Physician Assistant Training Program Physician Assistant License, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut Certification / Licensure Requirements ACLS / BLS DEAPA Current NCCPA Certificate - 100 hours of continuing medical education must be logged every 2 years. Recertification Examination must be taken every 6-10 years and passed successfully. Current New Jersey and New York State registration. Infection Control Certificate must be current. Must have taken child abuse recognition course. SKILLS – Required Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service orientation. Critical thinking, in-depth experience, professional knowledge in area of specialty; updated on the latest new, trends, and treatments. Time management / organization : handles and effectively manages a daily caseload; experience with varied work schedule (flexibility); adaptable. Collaboration and teamwork : collaborates with clinical colleagues (MDs, PAs, NPs, RNs) for advisement when necessary; develops and coordinates appropriate plan of care. Interpersonal : confident, works well under pressure, responsible, caring, sympathetic and compassionate.
