LocumJobsOnline is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified Neurology MD in Petoskey, Michigan, 49770!

About The Position

Description :

Exciting locum opportunity for a Board-Certified Neurologist in Petoskey, MI , starting January 1, 2026 . This role offers an excellent hourly rate of $260 / hr , covering both inpatient and outpatient neurology services. The provider will manage clinic consultations, EEG reads, and on-call duties while working with a collaborative medical team in a well-equipped setting.

Job Responsibilities :

Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient neurology care.

Perform and interpret EEG , lumbar punctures , radiologic exams , brain death examinations , and evoked potentials .

Read EEGs for both inpatient and outpatient cases as required.

Participate in after-hours and weekend call coverage.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR (Cerner).

Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Working Hours :

Clinic Hours : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM

Outpatient Appointments : Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri (1 : 00 PM – 3 : 00 PM within the clinic day)

Inpatient Call : 24 / 7, starting and ending at 8 : 00 AM

After-Hours Call Coverage Required

Average 6–8 patients per day

Skills :

Expertise in neurological procedures and diagnostics

Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

Proficiency with Cerner EMR

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Ability to manage inpatient and outpatient workload efficiently

Job Requirements

Qualifications :

Board Certified in Neurology (BE not accepted)

Active Michigan medical license (required at submission)

Active DEA license

BLS & ACLS certifications required ; NIH Stroke Scale / tPA competency preferred

Clean malpractice record with proof of coverage

Must meet hospital immunization and health clearance requirements (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Flu, Covid, TB, TDAP)
