Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Purview and Microsoft Azure data services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and optimizing data governance frameworks, ensuring enterprise-wide data quality, compliance, and visibility.

Key Responsibilities

Implement, configure, and maintain Microsoft Purview for data governance across the organization.

Manage and optimize metadata, data cataloging, classification, and lineage tracking capabilities.

Work with cross-functional teams to support governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry and organizational standards.

Develop and maintain data integration and ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and related Azure services.

Support data modeling efforts to structure, organize, and enhance enterprise data assets.

Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and compliance frameworks, including regulatory requirements.

Document processes, governance standards, and technical procedures to support audit readiness and operational consistency.

Collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders to communicate data governance policies and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of proven experience with Microsoft Purview.

Proficiency in Azure services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Blob Storage.

Strong understanding of data governance principles such as metadata management, data cataloging, classification, and lineage.

Experience with ETL processes, data integration frameworks, and enterprise data modeling.

Knowledge of security, compliance, and regulatory standards related to data governance.

Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

Experience working in enterprise or cloud-native data environments.

Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, DP-203, Purview-related certifications).
