Architectural Designer

Overview

Architectural Designer role at Actalent . The position involves working across a diverse portfolio including adaptive reuse, base build, civic, and commercial projects. Opportunity to contribute to both new construction and adaptive reuse while collaborating with in-house urban design and coastal resilience consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support project teams through all design and construction phases, from kick-off to closeout.
• Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior designers and consultants.
• Develop and review construction documents to ensure alignment with project goals and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate urban design and resilience strategies into architectural solutions.
• Engage with civic stakeholders and end-users to inform and enrich the design process.
• Contribute to the visual storytelling of projects through renderings, diagrams, and presentations.

Work Environment

Our team consists of an average of 17-20 architects and interior designers. We operate on a hybrid schedule. Our work culture is collaborative, community-focused, open, and transparent. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
