Akkodis is seeking an Application Support Analyst for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX . The ideal candidate will provide Level 2 production support for Java-based applications, ensuring stability, performance, and issue resolution across a portfolio of enterprise applications.

Rate Range : $50 / hour to $52 / hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Application Support Analyst job responsibilities include :

Provide Level 2 support for Java-based applications in a financial services environment.

Lead triage calls for high-priority incidents and drive resolution.

Understand end-to-end application architecture and configurations.

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams on releases and stability.

Perform application resiliency certification testing.

Manage and troubleshoot batch processing and restore issues.

Support incident, change, and problem management processes.

Monitor application components and infrastructure to proactively identify issues.

Respond to alerts and escalate to SMEs as needed.

Support access provisioning and configuration for new applications.

Perform environment routing, cycling, and splash page implementation.

Desired Qualifications :

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.

4–6 years of experience in application production support.

Strong experience in Java / J2EE technologies including Core Java, JDBC, EJB, SOAP / RESTful services.

Familiarity with Workfusion, RabbitMQ, OCR, Mesos, Marathon.

Experience with BladeLogic Autosys, Oracle SQL, PL / SQL, TOAD, Exadata.

Proficiency in Linux, Shell scripting, and middleware technologies (WebLogic, WebSphere, MuleSoft).

Knowledge of Apache Tomcat, Apache Web Server, and Service-Oriented Architecture.

Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and AppDynamics.

Familiarity with clustering tools (Oracle RAC, Linux Cluster) and cloud platforms.

Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Excellent communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.

ITIL certification preferred.

Pay Details : $50.00 to $52.00 per hour
