Pay Rate : $17.00 – $21.00 per hour
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 11 : 00 AM, with rotating Saturdays
Job Summary :
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR I) represents the face of the organization to patients by providing a positive and professional experience during specimen collection. This individual is responsible for collecting quality blood samples , ensuring proper labeling and preparation for laboratory testing, and maintaining compliance with company standards. The role demands strong phlebotomy skills, exceptional customer service, and adherence to safety and confidentiality protocols.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform blood draws and specimen collection following established procedures and safety standards.
Greet patients, verify identification, and explain collection procedures to promote comfort and trust.
Prepare and label specimens accurately for laboratory processing.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and quality control logs .
Demonstrate leadership behaviors and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times.
Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection duties with accuracy.
Support daily lab operations, including processing and shipping specimens.
Exhibit strong organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients and the public.
Required Experience :
Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ year preferred .
Proven customer service experience in a retail, service, or healthcare setting.
Keyboarding / data entry experience required.
Required Education & Certifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, and WA; not required in NJ).
