Job Summary :
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) provides professional, accurate, and compassionate phlebotomy and specimen collection services to patients within a diagnostic laboratory environment. The PSR II upholds the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and patient care while maintaining process excellence and compliance with company policies. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, and a focus on delivering quality in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform clinical and forensic specimen collections following established practices and procedures.
Verify patient identity and ensure specimen labeling accuracy in the patient’s presence.
Maintain accurate and complete records and documentation.
Demonstrate superior phlebotomy skills , including pediatric and geriatric draws.
Provide excellent customer service , creating a comfortable and professional patient experience.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Travel and provide coverage across multiple patient service sites as required.
Follow all health, safety, and infection-control protocols.
Support flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
Exhibit leadership behaviors and promote collaboration and process improvement.
Required Experience :
Three years of phlebotomy experience (inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections).
Minimum two years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
Customer service experience in healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred.
Keyboard / data entry proficiency required.
Nice-to-Have Experience :
Medical assistant or paramedic training.
Experience covering multiple collection sites or mobile phlebotomy.

Phlebotomy and specimen handling expertise
Patient communication and service orientation
Attention to detail and data accuracy
Preferred Skills :
Time management and adaptability
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Familiarity with compliance and safety procedures
Additional Skills :
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license for multi-site coverage
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting
Demonstrated organizational commitment and professional demeanor
Education & Certification :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, and WA).
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
Working Conditions : Schedule :
Monday : 9 : 00 AM–2 : 00 PM
Thursday : 10 : 00 AM–3 : 00 PM
Friday : 10 : 30 AM–2 : 30 PM
On-site position; not eligible for remote work.
No hospital credentialing required.
