Job description

Overview Job Title :

  • I & E Technician         Experience :     5 years’ experience Location :          Midland, TX Schedule :         Full-time, Monday-Friday, 40-hour workweek with on call rotation Travel :             Travel to work site is required; some travel during workday Pay :                   Hourly, depending on qualifications and experience Classification : Non-Exempt, eligible for overtime   Job Description To perform and lead diagnostics and repairs on facilities Instrument and Electrical systems.
  • Responsibilities Perform skilled I&E Technician duties involving troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing facilities instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems.
  • Perform basic calibration on various forms of instrumentation, pressure transmitters, flow transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, temperature instruments, and control valves.
  • Perform basic checks and repairs on electrical equipment, motors, motor starters, circuit breakers, relays, UPS systems, VFD’s, BMS systems and meters.
  • Ensure that all Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance work is performed in a safe manner and in accordance with the facilities safety procedures.
  • Work with facilities Mechanics and Operations on equipment repairs.
  • Manage I&E maintenance work within the facilities to ensure that the work is performed in accordance with the safe / hot work permits and all safety and environmental regulations.

Collaborate with various I&E instruments, testers, meters, tools, and equipment.   Skills Organization :

  • Maintain high level of organization and apply systems to establish organization.

  • Be able to communicate well and professionally with customers, vendors, managers, and team members.

  • Efficiency in a variety of operations and resource functions.
  • Desired Qualities High School diploma or equivalent Requirements 5 years of experience Stable work history Must be legally eligible to work in the US.
  • Sponsorship is not available.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug, and alcohol screening.
  • Must have a valid, current driver’s license.
  • Must be able to comply with customer site requirements for access / entry.
  • TWIC card preferred.
  • Additional Requirements Direct report to the I&E Foreman Must report all Facilities Maintenance issues to the facilities Foreman Ensure that facilities operators are kept aware of all maintenance work and maintenance issues within the facilities.
  • Must be familiar with the facilities overall processes.
  • Will be required to work overtime and be on an on-call rotation.
  • Must attend and be active in all safety meetings.
  • Must have the ability to work alone and perform maintenance work.
  • Will be required to drive a contract company vehicle and must have a driving record that meets contract standards.
  • Must be dependable and punctual in attendance.
  • Must have positive demeanor and ability to work with others under sometime hectic and stressful conditions.
  • Physical Requirements Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds regularly and on occasion up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor environment.
  • Possible exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and gases.
  • May be exposed to extreme heat or cold climate conditions.
  • Must be able to work around high voltage electrical equipment See, respond, and report to possible dangerous situations.
  • Must have visual acuity to perform I & E Technician duties.
  • Comfortable with heights and able to climb stairs / ladders.
  • Required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Operating and driving a vehicle for extended periods of time on possible rough terrain Sitting for extended periods.
  • Bend, reach, kneel, and crouch handling bulky items.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and / or extreme weather-related conditions.
  • Required to wear PPE / Safety gear at specific times.
  • Ability to wear an N-95 mask when required.
