Director Of Operations
The Director Of Operations is accountable for overseeing and optimizing all daily operations relating to third-party logistics (3PL), order workflow and fulfillment, inventory management, end-to-end e-commerce supply chain and sales support. This leader drives operational efficiency, process improvement, and strategic execution to ensure exceptional service delivery and fulfillment performance across diverse channels, including enterprise programs, one-off projects, and online marketplaces.
Essential Functions
- Lead, develop, and manage 3rd party fulfillment and warehouse operations including oversight of 3PL providers, distribution, and inventory control
- Serve as the main point of contact for fulfillment partners and carriers. Manage vendor performance, conduct regular business reviews, and drive accountability for cost, service, and quality. Negotiate rates, contracts, and service levels with fulfillment and logistics partners.
- Ensure accurate inventory management between internal systems and third-party warehouses. Monitor and reconcile stock discrepancies and coordinate cycle counts and reporting. Support forecasting for client programs and ensure adequate inventory levels for ongoing campaigns
- Maintain and audit ERP system data accuracy with internal and external partners; automate and streamline operational workflows and reporting.
- Develop and execute strategies for efficient order processing and workflow, product decoration, picking, packing, and shipping; monitor and improve KPIs related to Service Level Agreements (SLA), order accuracy, timeliness, cost, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee sales support functions including domestic and offshore resources who are tasked with ensuring orders are fulfilled after initial creation of sales order
- Collaborate with cross-functional teamssales, sales support, finance, merchandising, and ITto ensure integrated support for fulfillment processes, customer contract compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships and service levels with 3PL, carriers, and technology / systems partners; negotiate contracts and oversee vendor performance.
- Lead initiatives for continuous process improvement, leveraging data and analytics for inventory control, fulfillment forecasting, and workflow enhancement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and technology advancements to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
Minimum Requirements
Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams and managing complex warehouse / distribution operations.Strong knowledge of ERP / WMS / IMS systems and data-driven decision-making.Outstanding leadership, project management, and vendor relationship skills.Ability to travel as needed between operational sites and vendor locations.Ability to work independently or team as required by the task or project.Strong PC skills and MS Office skillsRequired Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.7+ years of progressive operations management experience, preferably in e-commerce, fulfillment, or 3PL environments; experience working with Amazon fulfillment and / or other major marketplaces strongly preferred.Working Conditions
