A day in the life Our Accounting team oversees the company's financial well-being while supporting operational and business planning in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. We are entrusted to properly account for and report the business activity at our growing company. During your accounting work study, you will work as a member of our Real Estate Operations Accounting team. This role will be responsible for reviewing and processing lease accounting activity in your assigned area. You will be given the opportunity to interact with various departments within Prologis to gain an understanding of our business and technology. You should enjoy thinking critically to account for and analyze new lease activity as well as enhancing our accounting processes. The role is approximately twenty hours per week for twelve weeks, with the option to extend.
Key responsibilities include :
Building blocks for success Required : Pursuing a bachelor or master degree in accounting and completed a minimum of two (preferable three) years of undergraduate-level coursework. Enthusiastic candidate that is an analytical thinker and detail-oriented. Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to complete assigned work accurately and timely. Proficient with Excel and a desire to learn and enhance the general ledger system, associated subsystems, and reporting tools. Ability to independently and effectively set priorities to manage high volumes of work while maintaining quality and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across multiple functional, cultural and management levels (oral and written). Demonstrated ability to learn and then routinely apply policies and procedures without daily instruction and under general supervision.
Hiring Salary Range of $25.00 / hour.
