Job descriptionClean and prepare guest rooms, dorms, and bathrooms Mop, vacuum, and sweep hostel grounds daily Perform laundry room functions, including washing, sorting, folding, and stocking Change and wash bed linens, bedspreads, blankets, and towels Wash and put away kitchen dishes and utensils Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, and tubs / showers; restock soap and toilet paper as needed Wash windows and window coverings Dust countertops, dresser tops, furniture, paintings, and door jambs Empty trash cans and recycling daily Report broken items to management Ensure all unnecessary lights are turned off Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies Assist with light maintenance, kitchen maintenance, and groundskeeping as required Minimum six months of hostel or hotel housekeeping required Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team Customer service experience is a plus Strong attention to detail Ability to multi-task Must be willing to work evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays as required Regularly required to sit, use hands and arms Frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear Occasionally required to climb or balance Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds Specific vision abilities required : close, peripheral, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

Join Hostelling International USA at our historic downtown Sacamento hostel. We are currently accepting applications for a full time Housekeeping Associate who will play a crucial role in maintaining the clean and welcoming atmosphere of our facility.
Position Details :
Pay : $17.00 per hour
Shift : 10 am - 6 pm, Friday-Tuesday, Weekend Availability Required
Type : Full Time, benefit eligible
