About the Role :
The Director of Finance & Accounting will report directly to the CEO and lead all financial operations, strategy, and compliance. This role is ideal for a CPA with strong leadership skills, a hands-on mindset, and a passion for building high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead finance, accounting, payroll, and compliance functions
- Oversee financial reporting, audits, and GAAP adherence
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Prepare board reporting packages and strategic insights
- Monitor cash flow, capital planning, and risk management
- Supervise tax filings, retirement plans, and lease administration
- Ensure internal controls and policy compliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support growth and profitability
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices
- Serve as Trustee for defined contribution plans and ensure ERISA compliance
- Maintain relationships with market support and leadership teams
- Support sustainability, safety, and company values
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA required, with public accounting experience8+ years of progressive finance / accounting experience, including leadership rolesStrong GAAP knowledge and financial modeling expertiseExperience in retail or multi-unit operations preferredSkilled in financial reporting, budgeting, and P&L oversightFamiliarity with federal income tax and retirement plan administrationExcellent communication, organizational, and analytical skillsHigh level of discretion and confidentialityProficiency in Microsoft Office; Dynamics Great Plains experience preferredWillingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours as neededBenefits :
