Deputy Director Of Programs
IOLA Fund is seeking a skilled and collaborative Deputy Director of Programs to join its trusted and mission-driven team. Reporting to the Director of Administration and Executive Director, the Deputy Director of Programs is expected to manage major aspects of IOLA's programs, including setting grant contract terms, overseeing grantee performance and compliance, analysis of grantee program data, and other special initiatives such as the Justice Infrastructure Project. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and professionalism in advancing IOLA's programmatic mission.
The essential functions of the Director of Administration position include :
- Oversee grant program RFPs, contract development, and execution
- Review and qualify grant applicants within the State Financial System and Vendor Management Systems
- Oversee grantee performance, reporting, and payment
- Support the development of the Justice Infrastructure Project, including oversight of program activities, management of contractors, and drafting necessary reports
- Prepare and / or oversee economic impact reports, annual grantee summaries, geographic data analysis, and IOLA Annual reports
- Provide guidance, technical assistance, and training related to the contract and procurement process for grantees and IOLA staff
- Oversee development of and / or updates to relevant policies and manuals for grantees and IOLA staff
- Serve as System Administrator of SmartSimple, IOLA's grant management system
- Supervision of 1-2 staff members, including the performance evaluation process
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
Preferred Skills :
Advanced degree in business administration, business management, or public administration, or related field2 or more years of supervisory experiencePrior experience working with NYS government systems (e.g., SFS)Experience in New York State government, non-profit, or philanthropyPrior experience working with SmartSimpleCompensation & Benefits :
