Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Data Specialist to join our dynamic team in the Energy industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our procurement data to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and overall operational excellence. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our strategic growth and play an integral role in enhancing our procurement processes. This position will allow for you to pick your own hours, with an incredibly flexible work schedule, primarily onsite, with 25% travel as well.
Base pay range
$30.00 / hr - $35.00 / hr
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the procurement data lifecycle, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and maintenance.
- Implement and maintain robust warehouse management systems to ensure efficient operations and inventory control.
- Handle all aspects of receiving, shipping, and freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Leverage MRP and ERP systems to optimize procurement processes and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of purchase orders to achieve optimal cost-effectiveness.
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement and maintain manufacturing accounting processes to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
- Use data analysis tools (e.g., Vlookup) to extract, analyze, and report on procurement data.
- Collaborate with operations management to align procurement processes with overall business objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a procurement role, preferably in the Energy industry.Proven experience in warehouse management, receiving, shipping, and freight operations.Strong knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, with a track record of successful implementation.Demonstrated ability to analyze procurement data and use it to drive operational improvements and cost reductions.Vendor management experience, including negotiating and managing purchase orders.Proficiency in manufacturing accounting and cost tracking.Strong data analysis skills (e.g., Vlookup) and ability to extract actionable insights.Excellent operations management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Interested in hearing more?
