Rain Sales Development Representative

Rain is the fastest-growing earned wage access (EWA) fintech in the U.S., serving 2.5 million employees and backed by top investors like QED and Prosus. We've raised nearly $400M in fundingincluding the largest Series A in fintech historyand just closed our Series B to fuel our next stage of hypergrowth.

About the Role

The ideal candidate is actively seeking a career in technology sales. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to help us grow and promote our brand in the industries we serve. Your role will be to seek out new business opportunities by connecting and developing relationships with potential employer partners. The ideal candidate is a competitive, self-starter that brings dynamic thinking and well-honed work ethic to the table. The individual must be able to leverage CRM data to segment target audiences, trigger campaigns and personalize content to execute outreach. Sales Development Representatives will source potential employer partners in target industries, generate interest, qualify prospects, and present key aspects of Rain's value proposition. Rain is looking for someone with a competitive nature that wants to develop a career in technology sales. Keen organizational skills, resourcefulness and a desire to be on the cutting edge of new technology are must-haves for this role.

Responsibilities

Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting activities through various outbound channels such as cold calling, email outreach, and social media platforms to prospect and engage leads.

Qualify outbound-sourced leads based on defined criteria and determine their potential as customers, and schedule qualified leads for follow-up discovery meetings with your account executives to further assess their business and potential for partnership with Rain.

Achieve or exceed monthly / quarterly targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for your outbound prospecting efforts.

Maintain CRM Hygiene.

Prepare for outreach by doing background research on the industry, company, and contact.

Collaborate with sales team to share best practices and evolve sales strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Sales.

Confidence and high energy on the telephone.

Strong work ethic and drive.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work.

Ability to handle rejection.
